rules for good blog writing style

Use descriptive headlines (and try to not make them boring or too plain, or too obvious, don't exaggerate the use of word games and caps lock typed shortcuts).
Write in "inverted-pyramid" style (get to the point at the beginning, elaborate in later paragraphs) (don't elaborate, how much patience do you have after reading the important information)
The first link is the one people click on, so make it the main link of your article. (and whenever they invent something new like that snap thingy use it on your blog, i don't like to know how many other people used the link because it makes the blog feel used - but that is just me!)
Reintroduce core ideas in longer posts. (don't do long posts, do long copy)
Use lists, images, tables and anything else that will make your articles easier to scan.
Use simple language if you're writing for a global audience.
Credit your sources. (remember to)
Mark updates and changes. (blog template, blog posts or all together?)
Spellcheck your posts and re-read them for clarity. (adevarat)
